Obedience – Novice 

Classes will run for 6 weeks, 1 hour class each week.

This class is for those people who are getting ready to compete in Novice Obedience

Prerequisites: 

• Dogs must be ready to compete in for their Novice Obedience title or have permission of instructor
• Dogs should be heeling on leash

What to bring:

• LOTS of small, yummy treats.
• 6′ leash 
• Dumbbell and/or scent articles
• Your desire to have FUN with your pup as you both learn!!!

This Agility class emphasizes Contact and Weaves with a continuation of  Agility Skills and Drills. Dogs and handlers will improve and practice the skills needed for future competitions by concentrating on beginning course sequencing.

Advanced Obedience – Open and Utility – Taught by AKC Judge Karen Wrey

Classes will run for 6 weeks, 1 hour class each week.

This class is for those people who are getting ready to compete in Open or Utility Obedience

Prerequisites: 

• Dogs must have received their Novice Obedience title or have permission of instructor
• Dogs should be heeling off leash

What to bring:

• LOTS of small, yummy treats.
• 6′ leash 
• Dumbbell and/or scent articles
• Your desire to have FUN with your pup as you both learn!!!

Puppy Sport Prep

Socialization and training during puppyhood is absolutely essential for the development of a confident, balanced, and well-mannered adult dog. This class will Get your puppy started off right in a safe (all puppies in class must be vaccinated) supportive and fun environment as we explore how to develop needed skills for agility.

Classes will run for 6 weeks, 60 minutes each class.

Prerequisites:

• This class is for puppies 7 months + (by start of class)
• All puppies must be up to date on vaccinations. Please bring vet records of shots to first class or Email them to carolinadogsports@gmail.com.

What to bring:

• LOTS of very small tasty treats and a bag or pouch that allows you easy access to them.
• A 6′ leash (with no poop bag containers on the end)
• Flat buckle collar or martingale collar (preferred)
• Your desire to have FUN with your pup as you both learn!!!

Skills: puppy socialization, sit, down, start line stays, consistent come, age appropriate equipment practice & tricks to encourage your dog to think.  

Discussion topics: crate training, puppy sports, socialization and positive behavior!

This Agility class emphasizes  Advanced Agility Skills and Drills. Advanced dogs and handlers will improve and practice the skills needed to compete by concentrating on skills and drills, contacts and course sequencing and proofing skills.
